Free Chlorination

​Free Chlorination begins on March 17, 2025 and ends on April 7, 2025 in the District 2 Water Service Area.
 
Free chlorination is a common practice for water systems using combined chlorine disinfection in an effort to ensure the integrity of the distribution system. The chlorination period is anticipated to be transparent; however, there may be a slight change in the taste or odor of the tap water.

​On average, over half of the water used at home go​es to outdoor irrigation. If you have a city water irrigation system and want recommendations on how to schedule better and use outdoor water more efficiently, WWS partners with Broward’s NatureScape Irrigation Service to offer this service FREE!

​​​Le​ad Information and Service Line Inventory​

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services monitors the quality of your drinking water for many compounds including lead.  Although there is no lead in the drinking water when it leaves the water plant, lead can enter drinking water due to lead service lines on your property or plumbing fixtures and pipes inside your home.

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services has completed its service line inventory, with 100% of all service lines identified as Non-lead.

NOTICE OF FINDING OF NO SIGNFICANT IMPACT AND 

NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS​​


This is to give notice that Broward County under 24 CFR Part 58 has conducted an evaluation as required by Executive Order 11988, as amended by Executive Order 13690, in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 in Subpart C Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management and Wetlands Protection. The activity is funded under CDBG-MIT MT042. The proposed project(s) is located along Copan’s Road, extending from the intersection of Copan’s Road and Powerline Road to the Pompano Beach Municipal Golf Course, in the City of Pompano Beach, Broward County. The following notices are for: Floodplain, Request for Release of Funds, and Finding of No Significant Impact.


These notices shall satisfy three separate but related procedural requirements for activities to be undertaken by Broward County.
