Certification and Training

AmbassaDogs are certified Therapy Dogs, and their handlers complete classroom and in-terminal training to learn about FLL. The handlers comply with their registering agencies’ policies and procedures, as well as airport volunteer policies and procedures. Handlers who submit to a background check are fingerprinted and are badged.

AmbassaDogs Teams 

The teams work one to two-hour shifts in a terminal each week.​​

Rhino Handler: Leah Alliance of Therapy Dogs

Rhino is a mini Goldendoodle. On his list of favorite things to do are long walks and a game of fetch - he loves to chase any ball he can get his paws on. A dish of steamed broccoli is also a favorite, as well as delicious treats of any kind. ​


Kahlua Handler: Isabel Alliance of Therapy Dogs

Kahlua is a Golden Retriever. Her favorite hobby is swimming and kayaking with her parents. She also tends to do bunny hops when she wants attention.​ ​
