The Broward Cultural Division's Artist Innovation Grant provides direct funds to professional and established artists of all disciplines for new and/or experimental art projects. The program is designed to encourage risk-taking, exploration of artistic pursuits, career advancement, interactivity, and sustained commitment to artistic work. 

Awards are provided in partnership with The Community Foundation of Broward.

Based on funding availability, each grant award may be approximately $15,000.




Specific Eligibility for Artist Innovation Grants

See Artist Grants Manual for Full Guidelines (for all grants) Eligibility section. 

  • Must be a professional and established artist with at least three (3) years in their field as evidenced by their resume and work samples.
  • Emerging artists are not eligible to apply in this category.
  • Previously awarded Artist Innovation grantees cannot apply in this category for two (2) consecutive years following their previous award.
