Broward County recognizes the Florida Panthers' historic first-ever national championship. In highlighting this occasion, the Florida Panthers will host a championship celebration on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Fort Lauderdale.

In recognition of the big win, Broward County Transit is excited to offer everyone FREE fares for all its BCT services. Panther fans can catch BCT for free to the championship celebration, making the journey to/from Fort Lauderdale Beach smooth, comfortable, and convenient.

The festivities will kick off with a lively and fun-filled parade along A1A, starting at 11AM at Riomar St and ending at SE 5 St,​ just north of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, where the celebration will continue.​

How to Get There

Travel to the Championship Celebration:

• Take a BCT Route​: 
  BCT will increase service for Routes 36, 11, and 40 on June 30, 2024. Buses will arrive every 15-20 minutes along these routes. 
  
• Route 36 will take you to the Galleria Mall at Fort Lauderdale on Sunrise Blvd.
• Route 11 will take you to Las Olas Blvd/SE 15 Ave.
• Route 40 will take you to Eisenhower Blvd/SE 17 St for a transfer to the BCT Express Service.​

  BCT will provide continual departures from Heron Parking Garage (next to Broward County Convention Center, 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316​), beginning 7AM until 10AM. The last departure from the location is 10AM. Arrival location is west of A1A on Harbor Drive.
• Route 40 will take you to Eisenhower Blvd/SE 17 St​ for a transfer to BCT Express Service.
• Park and take BCT Express Service. The following parking garage is available. Parking garage fees may apply.

How to Return

Return Trip from th​​e Championship Celebration:

BCT Express Service will begin return trips from west of A1A on Harbor Drive to Heron Parking Garage (next to Broward County Convention Center) at 2​PM and will continue until 5PM. The last return trip departing from Harbor Drive is 5PM.

Return Trips: 2PM-5PM

Here's what you need to know:​

• Free Fares for All: BCT fares across its transportation system are waived on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Everyone can Ride for FREE with BCT!
• Leave Early and Take Public Transportation: Panther fans are encouraged to leave early and take public transportation to the parade to avoid any delays.
• Remember Your Location: Whether you take a BCT bus route or another BCT transportation option, make sure you remember your travel location. You will need to return there for your return trip. If you use BCT Express Service, make sure you remember the BCT Harbor Drive drop-off location. This will help you locate the correct departure location when it is time to leave the festivities.
• Connect with a BCT Ambassador: If you use BCT Express, you will see BCT Ambassadors in red EVENT STAFF shirts. They will provide you with information about your departure to the parade area and your return trip to the Heron Parking Garage on Eisenhower Blvd​.
