On Tuesday, April 22nd, the Board of County Commissioners approved amendments to the Motor Carriers Ordinance to include:

      • All taxis must use a soft meter,
      • All taxis must accept payment in cash or credit card,
      • Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity are no longer required to obtain a luxury sedan permit.​

Consumer Protection Division (CPD) is located at Broward County Governmental Center West (GCW), 1 N. University Drive, Suite 203 Plantation, FL 33324 and is open from 8:00AM - 4:00PM Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).​

We regulate Broward County businesses to:​​​​​​
