Family Building An Emergency Plan


By taking simple steps like making a family emergency plan and building an emergency supply kit, you can be ready to respond to an emergency of any kind. If you have not taken the time to think about how different disasters (natural or human caused) can affect you, start taking the necessary steps to become informed and develop a family plan. 


Emergency Kit

All residents are encouraged to get prepared by creating a family emergency plan and assembling a hurricane supply kit. These preparedness steps are key to safely weathering a storm, or any other disaster.

KNOW YOUR EVACUATION ZONE

Broward County has two types of evacuation plans. The type of evacuation ordered will be based upon the severity of the storm.
