​​​​​Minor Home Repair Program

This program provides wind mitigation and hurricane hardening services, prevents further deterioration, reduces energy loss and infiltration of outside elements of owner-occupied dwellings. Eligible improvements may include roofs, doors, windows and air conditioning. Eligible homeowners' gross household income may not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income based on household size, and must be current on their mortgage, and property taxes. A ten (10) year deferred payment loan will be recorded on the improved property. 

Barrier Free/Special Needs Housing Program

This program provides disabled Broward County residents with a deferred payment loan for housing modifications and barrier removal to improve accessibility, and provide for health and safety repairs which allow the residents continued occupancy and to maintain their independence. Health and safety repairs may include wind mitigation and hurricane hardening unrelated to accessibility and barrier removal.
