​The Recording Notification Service (RNS) is a free service offered by the Broward County Recording Office that alerts citizens via email when certain documents are recorded containing their name or property identification number (also known as folio or parcel identification number). On the RNS sign up page​, you may enter up to 40 variations of a name or property identification number per email address. When a document is recorded containing a name or property identification number that is being monitored, an email will be generated and sent to the provided email address.

A combined total of 40 names and property identification numbers may be assigned to one email address. Additional names or property identification numbers must be assigned to another email address.​

No. All email addresses, names, and parcel identification numbers used to register for RNS are confidential and exempt from public disclosure per section 28.47(5)(b), Florida Statutes.​

The RNS alerts you to newly recorded conveyance or encumbrance documents recorded after you have signed up for the service. To search documents already recorded under your name, visit our Broward County Official Records Se​arch page​.​ Note: Customers signed up for Parcel Number notifications will not be notified of recorded encumbrance documents.

The recording alert will contain the name(s) or property identification number(s) identified in the subscription and a link directing you to the recorded document. By clicking on the link, you can see what type of document was recorded, and purchase a certified copy, as needed.​

The Broward County Recording Office is prohibited from interpreting any document or providing legal assistance. We recommend seeking legal counsel for any questions regarding the contents of the document.

No. This service will only notify the subscriber of a recorded document conveying or encumbering property based on the enrolled name(s) or property identification number(s). Our office must record all documents that meet the requirements outlined in the Florida Statutes.​
