Adopt-A-Street

The Adopt-A-Street program empowers volunteer groups to keep neighborhoods clean one street at a time.  Residents come together and remove litter along their adopted street throughout the year.  Broward County provides cleanup supplies, training and recognition signs displaying the group’s name. Neighborhoods benefit from volunteer cleanups by:

  • Increasing property values

  • Reducing litter-removal costs

  • Frees up maintenance crews to perform other tasks

Volunteer groups interested in participating can fill out an application and select available streets within a participating municipality. Available streets are listed on an online map.

Municipalities currently participating in the Adopt-A-Street program include:

  • Broward Municipal Services District (Unincorporated Broward)
  • Dania Beach
  • Lazy Lake
  • North Lauderdale
  • Pembroke Park
  • Sunrise
  • Tamarac
  • Wilton Manors

Please contact your municipality if it is not listed for program availability information.

Adopt-A-Street is a Broward County Go Green project.
