Broward County Transit is committed to providing customers with a safe and pleasant riding experience. We travel to top destinations in Broward County and our entire bus fleet is equipped with bike racks and is wheelchair and scooter accessible.
Guaranteed Ride Home Program
The Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program, offered by the Florida Department of Transportation, provides free Uber/Lyft or taxi service to registered commuters in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie counties in the event of an unexpected emergency. This “commuter insurance” is offered 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The program is available to commuters who carpool, vanpool, take transit, bike or walk to work at least three days a week. Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card Program
Photographs for the Reduced Fare Photo I.D. Card program are taken at the Broward Central Terminal, Broward Blvd. and Northwest 1st Ave., in downtown Fort Lauderdale Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9AM to 4PM at the Customer Service Center. We are closed for lunch between 12:30 and 1:30PM. We can be reached at 954-357-6414.
Forgot Something on the Bus?
While Broward County Transit is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items, our Lost and Found staff members will try to help you recover your lost or forgotten belongings.
Contact our Lost and Found section at 954-357-8400. You will only receive a call back if your lost item is located or if more information is needed to assist us in identifying the item. If your lost item is located, you will need to claim it at the Broward Central Terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale (101 NW 1 Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, 33301). Items will be kept for 90 days. When you call to report a lost item, please provide the following information:
Detailed description of the lost item/s
Your full name with spelling
Daytime phone number where you can be contacted. If you lose a cell phone, please leave the number of the lost cellphone, even if you have discontinued the service
Lost and Found hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9AM to 4PM. We close for lunch between 12:30 and 1:30PM.
