New Hires

As a new Broward County employee, you will have many questions about the benefits and programs offered to County employees and their dependents. Complete information is posted to the Broward.org/Benefits website; this page is an informational snapshot and index to the services you may enjoy as a benefit-eligible employee.​​​​ 

​Any forms listed and required to be returned to Benefits must be downloaded, filled out, and returned to Benefits@bro​ward.org.​

Health

  • ​Two plans offered: CDH and HDHP Out of Network (OON).
  • New supplemental Diabetes Plan - Level2 ​- For those with Type 2 diabetes.​
  • HDHP Annual deductible $1,650 Single/ $3,300 Family In-Network per IRS requirements. 

Dental

Two Dental Plans

No Rate increases for either plan.​​

Vision

Humana​ Vision Plan​

The comprehensive vision plan under HUMANA does not require selecting a primary doctor or facility. Using in-network providers saves money; however, you can use any doctor you choose and receive the benefit reimbursement per the out-of-network plan specifications.​​

  • County-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) is $50,000​.

Spending Accounts

Deferred Compensation Match

Deferred Compensation is a voluntary program that allows benefit-eligible employees to defer income on a pre-tax or after-tax basis for retirement. The County has offered this program to employees for many years and is once again taking it to the next level by providing a $2,600 annual match for 2025.   More Info...​

Adding a new spouse/domestic partner or child? Gather your documents prior to starting your enrollment. Upload documentation at the time of enrollment. ​​Enrollment without supporting documentation will result in new dependent removal from enrollment.​
